Description

The Grosse Berliner Kunstausstellung was an annual art exhibition held in Berlin's Nationalgalerie. This book is especially interesting as it documents the 1942 exhibition, while the Third Reich was fully involved in Operation Barbarossa. Featured are some of the exhibition's most notable pieces, including those by Arno Breker (1900–1991), a sculptor, whose works were the antithesis of Entartete Kunst, or degenerate art.
