Description
This is an original Korean War U.S. Air Force officer's service shirt, with epaulets. It is constructed of a khaki cotton material and is dated October 30, 1952. We could not locate a size marking but please refer to the Measurements section for more details. It retains its original WWII era felt USAAF shoulder sleeve insignia; beneath it are faint remnants of rank insignia patches. Faintly inscribed on the placket's interior is its original owner's laundry number.
Provenance
Personal Collection of Chelius Carter
Condition Report
This shirt is in fair, used condition. Unfortunately, both buttons are missing from each cuff, and the felt shoulder sleeve insignia shows signs of mothing.
