Description

This is an original Korean War U.S. rear seam swivel loop M-1 helmet shell. It was manufactured by McCord Corp. of Detroit, Michigan and exhibits a lot number of "M181 A", approximately dating its production from 1951 to 1953. It retains its original olive drab factory finish, texture, and OD#7 (green) chinstraps. With its green painted steel chinstrap hardware, it remains in its original wartime configuration (helmets refurbished for the Vietnam War were often updated with new chinstraps with black hardware).
