Description

This is an original Korean War U.S. rear seam swivel loop M-1 helmet shell. It was manufactured by Motor Wheel Corp., a small and relatively unknown subcontractor of McCord Radiator & Manufacturing Co. of Detroit, Michigan from 1951 to 1953. With its significantly low lot number of "MW A7", this particular example likely dates to 1951. It retains an original dark olive drab field repaint, texture, and OD#7 (green) chinstraps with green painted steel hardware.
