Description

This is an original Korean War U.S. M-1C paratrooper helmet liner. It was manufactured in 1953 by the Micarta Division of Westinghouse Electric & Manufacturing Company of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Painted on the interior's visor are the original owner's name and partially legible Army Service Number. It features black painted steel A-washers and an OD#7 (green) suspension with rigger style paratrooper A-yokes. The suspension comes complete with its original headband. The liner's exterior retains an original olive drab field repaint.

This helmet liner is in fair, well used condition. Unfortunately, it is misshapen. The suspension is fraying, the A-yokes' wire buckles are missing, and the headband has deteriorated.
