Description
This lot consists of two original Vietnam War U.S. Army Air Defense Artillery School distinguished unit insignia pins produced by N. S. Meyer, Inc. of New York, New York. In addition to N. S. Meyer, Inc.'s logo, the pins' reverses are also marked "9M". Beginning in 1953, the Quartermaster General started to oversee the production and quality of items being produced by the various manufacturers. In this effort, each manufacturer was assigned an identity code consisting of one number and the first letter of the manufacturer's name; N. S. Meyer, Inc. was assigned "9M" and continued to mark their products with this code until the mid-1960s.
Provenance
In July of 2025, Gustafson's acquired the inventory of Circa1941. This piece was among those acquisitions.
Condition Report
These distinguished unit insignias are in very good condition, with both pins being intact and functional.
