Description

This is an original pre-Vietnam War U.S. P55 M-1 helmet liner. Atop the exterior's original olive drab field repaint are a set of original armored division decals and a sergeant's rank insignia. This helmet liner was manufactured in 1961 by the Micarta Division of Westinghouse Electric & Manufacturing Company of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It features black painted steel A-washers and an OD#7 (green) suspension. The suspension comes with its original headband. Unfortunately, the headband's manufacturer's marking has faded beyond legibility.
