Pre-WWII German M1931 Helmet Liner by Schuberth-Werk Size 57/64 (1938)

Description

This is an original pre-WWII German M1931 helmet liner. The leather liner is a size 57 and is to be paired with a size 64 helmet shell. The reinforced aluminum band showcases a "1938" production stamp by Schuberth-Werk, K.-G., of Braunschweig, Germany, making it an ideal candidate for an M35 helmet. Interestingly, the leather appears to have been installed in the band backwards, as the seam is located by the wearer's forehead. The leather is faintly inscribed with the original owner's name.

Condition Report

This helmet liner is in good, used condition. The leather has darkened with use and its drawstring is missing; however, all of its tongues remain intact. The aluminum bands are slightly misshapen; however, the liner's ability to fit inside a helmet shell is not impacted.
