Description

This is an original Vietnam War U.S. rear seam swivel loop M-1 helmet shell. Unfortunately, the lot number is partially concealed beneath the interior's field repaint, however, it appears to begin with a "2". Scratched into the shell's interior is "238-569". In addition to the original field repaint, the helmet retains its original texture and single OD#7 (green) chinstrap. The chinstrap's originally black painted steel hardware was repainted green. The chinstrap's bracket is stamped with a small anchor.
