Description
This is an original WWI U.S. Army Signal Corps flag kit carrier. It was manufactured in January of 1917 by Mills. The reverse is stenciled "D21F.A.", denoting use by Battery D of the 21st Field Artillery Regiment, which participated in the Battle of Saint-Mihiel in Lorraine, France, the first major, independent U.S.-led offensive of the war on September 12, 1918.

This carrier is in good, used condition. It has darkened with use but still retains its original carrying strap.
