Description
This original WWI U.S. M1918 aluminum mess kit was manufactured in 1918 by Edmunds & Jones Manufacturing Co. of Detroit, Michigan. Interestingly, etched into both the lid and the bottom is the original owner's name, "Kirsop". A search of the National Archives unfortunately reveals too many results to be conclusive.
