Description
This is an original matching set of WWII German helmet chinstraps manufactured in 1940 by Henseler & Co. of Ulm, Germany. The buckle is the grey painted steel version. This set of chinstraps would be an ideal candidate for an M40 helmet.
Provenance
Private Collection, Chico, California
Condition Report
These chinstraps are in fair, well used condition. The leather appears to have been conditioned at some point and is heavily worn, particularly around the retention studs; however, it is not torn. The steel hardware exhibits paint loss and rust.
