Description

This is an original WWII German Hitler Jugend, or Hitler Youth belt buckle in aluminum. The front bears the motto "Blut und Ehre", or "Blood and Honor", while the reverse is faintly marked "RZM M4/46", denoting production by Wilhelm Schröder & Co. of Lüdenscheid, Germany. These were produced by injecting molten aluminum into a mold, which resulted in a cast buckle with a flat back and a fully integrated catch, unlike the stamped steel examples which often broke.
