Description
This is an original WWII German M34 double decal Feuerschutzpolizei helmet, with the seldom-seen protective spine. Constructed of aluminum, this is the early-war model with the "square-dip" brim and dual "salt and pepper shaker" style vent holes. The inside brim is stamped "Vorschrfts m., Leichtmetall PD., n. M. d. J.", which roughly translates to "precisely light metal". The interior retains its original size 55 leather liner and chinstrap. The cork spacers are square, denoting wartime installation. The helmet's split pins and washers are all original and show no signs of tampering.
Provenance
In July of 2025, Gustafson's acquired the inventory of Circa1941. This piece was among those acquisitions.

This helmet is in good, used condition. The leather liner retains all of its tongues; however, its drawstring is missing. Its original black factory finish is good condition; however, the helmet's decals appear to have been covered with circular stickers, that when removed, pulled off some of the factory finish - thankfully, the lacquer protected the decals.
