Description
This original WWII German M35 helmet has an exceptional camouflage paint scheme. Atop its original Luftwaffe feldblau factory finish (and likely a set of decals) appears to be multiple layers of original camouflage paint, ranging from a Deutsches Afrikakorps (DAK) tan, which remains uncovered on the helmet's interior brim, to a thick, perhaps Zimmerit, "Normandy" tri-color camouflage over its exterior. The helmet's interior is painted with "H.D. 18"; unfortunately, its significance is unknown to us. The interior brim is size stamped "SE68", along with a paint-covered lot number, of which just "22" remains legible. These stampings denote 1935-40 production by the Sachsichse Emaillierwerke, Lauter factory.

Condition Report
