Description
This is an original WWII German M40 single decal Heer helmet. The inside brim is size stamped "EF64", along with the apparent lot number of "11423", denoting production by the Sachsichse Emaillierwerke A.G., Fulda factory. Adhered to the rear skirt is some tape residue, likely applied by the U.S. veteran who brought the helmet home as a souvenir. It showcases its original, albeit rusted, feldgrau factory finish. The interior retains its original leather liner and chinstrap remnants. The chinstrap is stamped "LEON H. BECK, NÜRNBERG, 1940". The helmet's split pins and washers are all original and show no signs of tampering.

This helmet is in fair, well used condition. There is rust throughout, and the leather liner is heavily damaged. That said, it displays quite nicely with its original decal still relatively intact.
