Description

This is an original WWII German M40 single decal Heer helmet. The inside brim is size stamped "ET64", along with the lot number of "932", denoting production by the Eisenhüttenwerke, Thale factory. Adhered to the rear skirt is some tape residue, likely applied by the American veteran who brought the helmet home as a souvenir. Atop its original feldgrau factory finish are remnants of an original whitewash winter camouflage. The interior retains its original leather liner and chinstrap. The chinstrap exhibits a steel buckle and is marked "Heinrich Sohn K.G., Neu-Ulm 1942". The helmet's split pins and washers are all original and show no signs of tampering.

Excellent

This helmet is in good, combat-used condition. The leather liner retains all of its tongues; however, its drawstring is missing. This helmet displays quite nicely with its original decal still relatively intact.
