Description
This is an original WWII German M40 single decal Luftwaffe helmet. The inside brim is size stamped "hkp66", along with the lot number of "0086", denoting production by the Sachsichse Emaillierwerke, Lauter factory. The helmet showcases its original feldblaufactory finish. The interior retains its original size 59 leather liner, drawstring, and chinstrap. The chinstrap exhibits a grey painted steel buckle and is marked "G. SCHIELE, LOBURG, 1940". The helmet's split pins and washers are all original and show no signs of tampering.

This helmet is in very good, lightly used condition. Unfortunately, however, the liner's leather exhibits rodent damage and its chinstrap is torn. This helmet displays quite nicely with a nearly fully intact decal.
