Description

This is an original and named WWII German M42 single decal Heer helmet. The inside brim is size stamped "ckl64", along with the lot number of "3032", denoting 1943 production by the Eisenhüttenwerke, Thale factory. Atop its original feldgrau finish are remnants of a whitewash winter camouflage. The interior retains its original leather liner and chinstrap remnants. The liner is marked with its original owner's surname, "Bigl". A search of the Volksbund Grave Registry unfortunately reveals too many results to be conclusive. The helmet's interior features a faint dome stamp.

Excellent

This helmet is in good, combat-used condition. There is surface rust throughout; however, its decal is nearly fully intact. Unfortunately, one of the split pins is missing, but those that remain show no signs of tampering.
