Description

This is an original WWII-Korean War U.S. Army ribbon bar, consisting of the American Campaign Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, and the Philippine Liberation Medal with originally two battle stars; however, one is unfortunately missing. The first two medals were awarded by the U.S. to military personnel who had performed military service in the American Theater of Operations during WWII and for 10 years of service in the Army Reserve, respectively. The Philippine Liberation Medal was actually issued by the Republic of the Philippines to U.S. service members who participated in the liberation of the Philippine Islands from October 17, 1944 to September 3, 1945. The ribbon bar's reverse features a two-prong clutch back with clutches, one of which is marked "BALLOU REG'D", denoting production by B.A. Ballou & Co.

Provenance

In July of 2025, Gustafson's acquired the inventory of Circa1941. This piece was among those acquisitions.
