Description
This is an original WWII U.S. Army M1928 haversack. It was manufactured in 1942 by Baker-Lockwood Manufacturing Co., Inc. of Kansas City, Missouri. This haversack retains an original mess kit pouch (also known as a "meat can"). Stapled to its interior is its original "COMBAT SERVICEABLE" paper tag, which is marked "FORT WORTH, Q.M. DEPOT". Its interior is marked "76A101". Unfortunately, its significance is unknown to us at this time.
