Description
This is an original pair of WWII U.S. Army M1940 Mounted Service (Cavalry) riding boots in size 8.5. They were manufactured on December 10, 1941, by International Shoe Co. of St. Louis, Missouri. They are constructed of high-quality leather and feature a three-buckle shaft.
Provenance
Personal Collection of Chelius Carter
Condition Report
These boots are in fair condition, with damaged soles and missing laces. That said, the leather uppers are still in remarkably good shape, and all fasteners remain intact. If resoled, these would likely have a lot of life left in them.
