Description
This is an original WWII U.S. Army officer's service shirt, with epaulets and short sleeves. It is constructed of a khaki wool material. It appears to have once had sergeant's rank insignia patches. Unfortunately, no manufacturer's label could be located. It is a size 15 x 34 but please refer to the Measurements section for more details. Marked on the placket's interior is the original owner's laundry number, "P-7099". A search of the National Archives unfortunately reveals too many results to be conclusive.
Provenance
In July of 2025, Gustafson's acquired the inventory of Circa1941. This piece was among those acquisitions.
