This original WWII U.S. Army officer's oversized service cap device was produced by K. G. Luke of Melbourne, Australia, making it an ideal candidate for a crusher cap with PTO provenance.

This badge is in fair, well used condition. The screwback is intact and functional; however, the eagle's wings and tail are slightly bent which gives the device a flush-fitting appearance when on a cap. Both smaller prongs behind each wing have been snapped off.
