Description
This is an original pair of WWII U.S. Army second pattern coveralls. Introduced in late-1942, second pattern coveralls were commonly used by stateside paratrooper trainees and USAAF mechanics. They are constructed of olive drab cotton herringbone twill (HBT) material. Unfortunately, their manufacturer's label could not be located. This pair is a size 36R but please refer to the Measurements section for more details. They retain their original interior gas flap.
Provenance
Personal Collection of Chelius Carter
Condition Report
These coveralls are in fair, well used condition. They exhibit several tears and holes; however, all of their original 13-star metal buttons appear to remain intact.
