Description

This is an original WWII U.S. Army enlisted man's M37 service shirt. It is constructed of a "mustard" color wool flannel material. Its manufacturer's label has unfortunately faded beyond legibility. It is a size 14 1/2 x 32 but please refer to the Measurements section for more details. It retains its original, matching set of technician 5th grade rank insignia patches and interior gas flap. Inscribed beneath the collar is the original owner's laundry number, "P-4025". A search of the National Archives unfortunately reveals too many results to be conclusive.

Provenance

Personal Collection of Chelius Carter
