Description

This original WWII Berkeley "Windproof" lighter was produced by the Flashlight Company of America in Jersey City, New Jersey. If you're familiar with Henry-Paul Enjames' GI Collector's Guide: U.S. Army European Theater of Operations you may have seen this particular type of lighter featured on the cover.

This lighter is in fair, well used condition. The original black painted crackle textured finish is well worn, the retaining spring that keeps the top portion of the case from opening on its own is damaged, and the spark wheel is seized up. This lighter will require a flint and fluid to function.
