Description
This is an original WWII U.S. M-1 helmet liner. It was produced by Capac Manufacturing Company of Capac, Michigan. It features blackened brass A-washers and an OD#3 (khaki) suspension, approximately dating the liner's production from mid-1944 to 1945. It has recently been completed with an original Lapeer Fabricators, Inc. headband and a Paul K. Weil Co. neckband. Inscribed on its interior is the surname of its original owner, "McDONALD". The liner's exterior retains its original olive drab factory finish.
