Description
This original WWII U.S. Chesterfield cigarette pack was manufactured by Liggett & Myers Tobacco Co. of Durham, North Carolina. It exhibits a Series 113 tax stamp, denoting 1943 production.
Provenance
Private Collection, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania
Condition Report
This pack of cigarettes is in fair condition. Its cellophane wrapping is missing, the pack has been opened on one end and is somewhat flattened. It still contains its 20 original, albeit disintegrating cigarettes with some evidence of past tobacco weevil activity. Being 80+ years old, they are obviously not suitable for consumption and are offered strictly for display purposes.
