Description
This original WWII U.S. M-1 helmet liner headband was produced in 1945 by Norman W. Cook, Inc. The buckle is blackened brass, while the third pattern spring clips are green painted steel - a combination introduced on November 5, 1943, and utilized until the end of the war. This would be an ideal headband for a helmet liner with blackened brass A-washers.
