Description
This is an original WWII U.S. M-1 helmet liner leather chinstrap. It features a blackened brass buckle and United Carr rivets, however much of the original black finish has worn away. The cam lever's underside is stamped with the patent number of "2363872", approximately dating the chinstrap's production to November 28, 1944. This would be an ideal chinstrap for a high-pressure helmet liner with blackened brass A-washers.

Condition Report
This chinstrap is in good, used condition. The leather is grimy but remains pliable, and the brass hardware has lost much of its original black finish.
