Description
This original WWII U.S. M-1 helmet liner neckband was manufactured by Comfort Slipper Corp. It is a size large and exhibits parkerized steel snaps. Steel snaps were most common from mid-1942 to late-1943, afterwards brass was reintroduced due to it no longer being considered a scarce material. This makes it ideal for a helmet liner with either non-painted or green painted steel A-washers (including Hawleys and low-pressure liners).

Condition Report
This neckband is in good, used condition. All four snaps are intact, the fabric is strong, and its manufacturer's stamping is still legible.
