Description

This original WWII U.S. M-1 helmet liner neckband was manufactured by Vogt Manufacturing Corp. and is from the "W-199-QM-16877" contract. It is a size medium and exhibits blackened brass United Carr snaps. Brass snaps were utilized for a short time in mid-1942 and then were reintroduced in late-1943 due to brass no longer being considered a scarce material. This would be ideal for a helmet liner with either green painted steel or blackened brass A-washers.
