Description
This original WWII U.S. M-1 helmet liner rayon neckband was manufactured by Johnson & Johnson. Rayon neckbands were produced in three different sizes during the war: 3, 4 and 5. This example, with its "J, 3" marking, is equivalent to a size small. It exhibits nickel-plated brass United Carr snaps. This would be an ideal neckband for not just liners with rayon suspensions, but also transitional Inlands and St. Clairs.

Condition Report
This neckband is in good, used condition. The fabric is fraying near two of its snaps, and the manufacturer's and size markings have faded somewhat.
