Description

This is an original WWII U.S. M1942 canteen and cup. The canteen was manufactured in 1944 by Southern Metals Company. Its black bakelite plastic cap is missing its cork, however, it is marked inside with a stylized "S" and mold number of "55". The rust on the cup's steel handle has unfortunately concealed its date and manufacturer's marking; however, the two pieces were discovered together.
