Description

This original U.S. M1942 canteen is unusual in that its only visible marking is a small, stylized "S" inside its black bakelite plastic cap. The canvas cover was manufactured in 1918, and its production is attributed to Froelich, of San Francisco, California. The cover appears to have been twice marked with its original owner's ID that was subsequently crossed out.
