Description

This is an original WWII U.S. rear seam swivel loop M-1 helmet shell. It was manufactured by McCord Radiator & Manufacturing Co. of Detroit, Michigan and exhibits a lot number of "1268A". During WWII, McCord lot numbers approximately ranged from 25 to 1300, making this among the last examples before production ceased in mid-1945. The helmet retains its original olive drab factory finish, cork texture, and OD#7 (green) chinstraps with brass hardware and a flat buckle.
