Description
This is an original WWII nurse's ward dress. It is constructed of white cotton material, with a blue collar. Stitched to its collar is a name tag which reads "Elizabeth Phelps". It was manufactured by Maid of Orleans. Beneath the collar is a label which reads "Maid of Orleans", with "REG.U.S." and "PAT.OFF." separated by a cowboy figure taking his hat off. Below is a size marking of "34" but please refer to the Measurements section for more details. It retains its original Geneva cross insignia stitched to the wearer's chest. The dress's waist features a belt for size adjustment.
