Description
This original WWII U.S. post card is inscribed with the Pledge of Allegiance surrounded by "The Guardians of Our Nation" - representatives from the four major branches of the armed services: Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps. Note the omission of "under God", which wasn't added to the Pledge until after the war by President Eisenhower. This is a very unique find, few of which still exist to this day.
