Description
This is an original WWII U.S. M-1 helmet set. The front seam swivel loop helmet shell was manufactured by Schlueter Manufacturing Co. of St. Louis, Missouri and exhibits a lot number of "466A", approximately dating its production to late-1944. The helmet retains an original olive drab field repaint, cork texture, and OD#7 (green) chinstraps with brass hardware and a steel T1 J-hook assembly. The helmet's liner was produced by Mine Safety Appliances Company of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It features blackened brass A-washers and an OD#3 (khaki) suspension, approximately dating the liner's production from mid-1944 to 1945. The suspension comes complete with its original headband, neckband, and blackened brass buckled leather liner strap. The liner's exterior retains its original olive drab factory finish.

Condition Report
This helmet set is in good condition, with wear consistent with that of a combat-used example. The leather liner strap, however, is very fragile with tears extending halfway through the leather.
