Description
This is an original WWII U.S. M-1 helmet liner. It was produced by Seaman Paper Company of Chicago, Illinois. "410" is painted both on its exterior and interior. Unfortunately, its significance is unknown to us. This liner features blackened brass A-washers and an OD#3 (khaki) suspension, approximately dating the liner's production from mid-1944 to 1945. It comes complete with its original Philadelphia Leather Goods Co. headband and a recently installed Gem-Dandy, Inc. size medium neckband. The liner's exterior retains its original olive drab factory finish.
