Description
This original WWII U.S. studio photograph captures Private Robert Milton Reeves in his Army dress uniform. Atop his head is the standard enlisted man's service cap and affixed to his jacket are infantry collar discs. Interestingly, the photograph's reverse shows it was taken on May 14, 1943, while Pvt. Reeves was based at Camp Howze of Gainesville, Texas. Camp Howze was both an infantry training facility and prisoner of war camp for captured German soldiers. The image was developed by Firestone Studios, of 405 E. California St., Gainesville, Texas. The photograph measures approximately 5 inches wide and 7 inches tall.
