Description

This is an original WWII U.S. M-1 helmet liner. It was produced by Westinghouse Electric & Manufacturing Company of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It features non-painted steel rectangular washers and a first pattern rayon suspension, approximately dating the liner's production to mid-1942. The exterior retains its original olive drab factory finish.
