Description
This is an original WWII U.S. Army Air Force B-2 winter flying cap. These were standardized on April 21, 1939, and quickly became a favorite among U.S. airmen. It is constructed of shearling, with horsehide trim and a stiff leather visor. Unfortunately, its manufacturer's and size label has since been removed.

Condition Report
This cap has definitely seen better days. It has been flattened and its shearling is cracked throughout. Perhaps, it can be reformed; however, it is of course being sold for display purposes only.
