Description
This is an original pair of WWII U.S. Army Air Force enlisted man's service trousers. They are identified to Technical Sergeant Robert W. Peddycoart, 18003324. View the Veteran's Information section for more details regarding T/Sgt. Peddycoart's life and military service. They are constructed of a "mustard" color wool flannel material and feature a button fly. Unfortunately, their manufacturer's label has since been removed. They are a size 32 x 31; however, they show signs of tailoring and resizing, so please refer to the Measurements section for more details. The waistband's interior is faintly marked with T/Sgt. Peddycoart's name, full Army Service Number, and laundry number.

Veteran's Information
Robert W. Peddycoart was born on February 15, 1920, in Nebraska. According to the National Archives, on April 25, 1946, Peddycoart enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps in Butte, Montana. This date is likely a typo or reenlistment, as Peddycoart had already held the rank of technical sergeant at this time and we found his "Morning Reports" dating back to 1943. During the war, he served in the 15th Bombardment Squadron, 16th Bombardment Group, 20th Air Force, based at Dalhart Army Airfield in Dalhart, Texas. He survived the war and continued his service into the Korean War, eventually attaining the rank of master sergeant. Peddycoart died on July 4, 1999, at the age of 79 and is buried at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. Made available to the new owner below are Peddycoart's reenlistment records from the National Archives, Commendation Medal award card, numerous "Morning Reports" from the National Archives, as well as his gravesite.
