Description
This is an original WWII USN M1926 inflatable life preserver belt, as worn by Allied servicemen during D-Day and other amphibious invasions. This particular example was manufactured by Durkee-Atwood Co. of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and what makes it unique among the majority of those available is that it actually predates D-Day, with a production date of April 7, 1944, making it ideal for the discerning collector.
