Description

This is an original Korean War USMC camouflage M-1 helmet cover. It was manufactured by Blue Anchor Overall Co., Inc. on April 29, 1953. Interestingly, this cover's "Eagle, Globe & Anchor" stampings were either never applied or have faded beyond legibility. This, in combination with its foliage slits in just the crown, almost gives the cover the appearance of being a WWII-produced second pattern, but it is not. It features the distinctive double-chain center stitching on the beach side. It is displayed here on an Ingersoll Rand Products helmet (not included).
